Endometriosis\"Endometriose\"<\/a><\/h1>\n

Endometriosis is a chronic disease and a gynecological\u00a0condition in which cells from the lining of the uterus\u00a0(endometrium) appear and flourish outside the uterine cavity, most commonly on the \u00a0membrane\u00a0which lines the abdominal cavity, the peritoneum. The uterine cavity is lined with endometrial cells, which are under the influence of female \u00a0hormones. Endometrial cells in areas outside the uterus are also influenced by hormonal changes and respond in a way that is similar to the cells found inside the uterus. Symptoms of endometriosis are pain and infertility. The pain often is worse with the menstrual cycle\u00a0and is the most common cause of pain during menstruation (also called dysmenorrhea)\u00a0. \u00a0it has been estimated that endometriosis occurs in roughly 6\u201310% of women. There is no cause in Western Medicine for the occurrence of endometriosis. In The Netherlands it takes up to 6 years before the correct diagnosis has been made.<\/p>\n

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine endometriosis can occur if a woman has a lack of energy. This means: she has “spended” more energy than ze had “in stock”. \u00a0Usually this process has been going on for a longer period of time (more than 1 year). Due to this lack of energy \u00a0the immune-system does not respond properly . It doesn’t clear up the endometrium-cells (which are located at the wrong place) and give i tchange to grow. \u00a0<\/p>\n
